The vast majority of companies that we research say data security during the IT asset disposition phase is the primary motive for bringing outside expertise, in this case ITAD vendors, to help them ensure compliance with all sort of regulations, from state and federal to international. Ironically, data security is also the reason why many companies prefer not to outsource the disposal of their IT equipment. They say their compliance rules prevent them from giving access to their data infrastructure, even to certified vendors involved in the ITAD sector.
To talk about this and much more, I have the pleasure to host Rocco D’Amico, the CEO of Massachusetts-based Brass Valley, a company that offers ITAD services & IT asset management to clients, with enhanced emphasis on data security.
I start by asking Rocco to share with us a brief background on himself and on Brass Valley.
